Privacy Policy
Short version: the calculator runs entirely in your browser, and nothing you type into it is sent to us. The only personal information we collect is your email address, and only if you subscribe.
ChurnAlpha ("ChurnAlpha," "we," "us") is a sole proprietorship based in South Carolina that operates churnalpha.com. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the site and what we do with it.
The calculator
All calculations happen locally in your web browser. The values you enter (account values, cost basis, tax rates, returns and so on) are not transmitted to us, are not stored on our servers, and are not visible to us. When you close or reload the page, they're gone.
Your email address
If you subscribe to the newsletter, we collect your email address. Subscriptions are handled by our email provider, Kit (ConvertKit LLC), which stores your address and sends emails on our behalf. You'll be asked to confirm your subscription, and every email includes a link to unsubscribe. See Kit's privacy policy for how Kit processes data.
We use your email address only to send you the newsletter and, occasionally, information about ChurnAlpha products. We don't sell or rent it, and we don't share it with anyone except Kit as described above.
Information collected automatically
- Hosting. The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Fonts. The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google's servers and Google receives your IP address. See Google's privacy policy.
- Visitor statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across other websites and doesn't identify you personally.
- Cookies and tracking. We don't set cookies, and we don't use advertising trackers.
Retention
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. You can also email support@churnalpha.com to ask what information we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted. We'll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law, and we'll honor valid requests.
Children
ChurnAlpha is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has subscribed, contact us and we'll delete the address.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the effective date. If the change is significant, we'll also tell subscribers by email.
